It came and went.

We have seen Benett fall into a fairly predictable feeding routine (which is more than pleasing to me for anyone that knows me!). We have seen his cheeks turn into an old lady's dream for pinching. We have seen his eyes follow his big brother around...it's so cute.

We've seen Jonah welcome Benett into his family without hesitation. We have seen his heart break just a little bit when crying out for his Mama for the first time in ages (we had some good long cuddles that night for good measure). And we have mourned the loss of our baby boy as he has suddenly become SO big! Joel and I can't get over how big he seems each day. He weighs a tonne, is head is so big (ya ya...), his hands are huge and fingers chubby, and we feel okay about his bed rail coming off now - after multiple requests from him.

Joel is caught up on sleep and is taking on the role of temporary homekeeper quite well. He is also getting used to being the center of attention each night while I make supper.

I am not caught up on sleep yet, but functioning well enough in the day. I was even granted a wonderful night on Sunday when Benett had to be WOKEN to eat, and even so, he only ate 930pm, 2am and 7am! My body has come back in leaps and bounds when compared to when I had Jonah. I feel like I had Ben 4 weeks ago and if it weren't for my widened pelvis/hips, I would be back in my regular pants already. Yes, I had to gloat a little there! It took me over 3 months to be at that point with Jonah!

Needless to say, week one went well! Bring on week two!

Jonah's first buddy, Freddy

And his new one. Trust me, this moment of physical contact lasted mere seconds.

Giving Daddy some love.

Aren't I tiny?!
