Here we go again. Round two of the birthdays.
Benett woke up in a great mood this morning and I was very pleased since he's been a bit finicky with his mood lately due to his two year molars. But even if it was one of those days, we weren't going to let it get him down.
He's too cute and fun for that. He's really solidified his personality this last year, and we have no question as to 'who' he is. Spunky, feisty and stubborn, but also full of zest, giggles, love, and smiles. He isn't afraid to share this with anyone and never holds back.
Like his brother, he's really progressed this year, enough to relieve the concern from both us as parents, but also the doctors and therapists that have been keeping an eye on him. Even though we would be more than prepared for what it could have meant, what a blessing!
Benett loves all things on wheels, balls - frankly anything he can throw will suffice to be honest - and puppies. Oh the puppies. His birthday celebrations will be held during our Easter dinners this weekend, so the photos of the cake will have to wait, but let's just say I think he'll be pleased with the result. Most recently he has become quite attached to his brother's old Lightning McQueen mega blok car. And wrestling. Yes, wrestling. I'm considering a mat and helmets for these two. I can't get over their tenacity.
He also has a massive amount of love for his brother. No one else can play with him or make him do things quite like Jonah. I seriously couldn't have asked for a better pairing of brothers. It warms my heart to see them give each other hugs, kisses, and cuddles. Jonah has also been asking to share a bunk bed with Benett when he is in a big boy bed. I'm a little nervous about the possible arrangement to be honest, but what fun they would have!
And so, another year begins.
We love you, Benett, you've really completed our family!
