While Tuesday was his actual first day of school, today is his real first day. The day where all the kids are in class, the teachers are all there, and there is...
Routine.
Structure.
Rules.
Things that our dear four year old has been missing for two months!

This year Jonah is in the afternoon class, which means two things. One, which is most exciting to him, is that he no longer is home for "quiet time" in his room. We made him a deal that he didn't have to have quiet time on school days. Bwah ha ha ha! Second is that we now have the lunch rush as opposed to the breakfast rush. I honestly don't know which one is worse and it's only day one!

Jonah is also taking the bus right from the start this year. Again, I'm not thrilled about it, but it is what it is.

So, ten months of preschool is upon us again. It was far less emotional for me this year, and I can only imagine how heartless I'll look on the first day of kindergarten when all the moms are trying to hold it together for their kids, while I drop him off and walk away like it's no big deal.

I can't wait to hear how his first day went today, especially when he gets to see all his old friends that weren't there on Tuesday. When I got off the bus, he said "Guh bye! I see you afah sool!". What a cutie.

Oh, and here is his first day last year. Notice he was okay with Benett not being in the picture this time? :) He does look mighty proud this year though!

And of course, I also noticed he grew one whole piece of siding this year. That's your cue to laugh at me.
