The boys began swimming lessons last week. Joel and I had these thoughts prior to the first lesson:
Benett would have a tremendous amount of fun, splashing everyone and hollering as loud as he could. After all, it's just a big bathtub and he has no problem doing that at home!
Jonah, on the other hand, would insist on his goggles for fear of getting water on his face, and just generally not enjoy himself.
Well, we were half right.
Case in point - Benett.
He spent almost his entire lesson crying for dear life and snuggling his daddy. Once he got a watering can, he was a bit better, but we DID NOT expect this, that's for sure.
Jonah was pretty spot on. I tried to capture the look of trepidation in his eyes, but who knows if it really comes across that way.
The majority of his lesson was spent saying "I all done!" and "NO!" when his instructor asked him to do things. He even managed to be just like he is in circle at school and find something to fiddle with while everyone sang songs and did the motions for them. He's not a fan, let's leave it at that.
I did however, get a smile out of him.
Because class was over.

At least he said No politely...Avery screamed while saying NO--- and did look rather silly. Whatever. The teacher only wanted her to try... and Jonah seems like he at least did that.
LOVE the gogggles!
And Ben, hmm...maybe it'll go better next time?
