Today is the big day for many people.
Today is the big day for a little boy.
No, not that little boy, but his big brother.
Yes, that one.
He is very anxious about the Olympics starting today. No, seriously, someone in our family, our offspring no doubt, is excited about a sporting event. I bet you never thought it would happen, right?!
Settle down, now. He's excited to see his buddy, Martin (pictured above), to make a television appearance tonight. Not for actual sports.
However, the Olympic opening ceremonies are not really something exciting to watch on television for this three year old, so he chose to go to bed after a whopping 10 minutes. Now, I am stuck sitting here waiting for him to make his appearnace and uphold my promise to wake him when Martin comes on.
If he ever does, that is.
I should note that Martin, is actually one of the mascots, Quatchi. Jonah just felt that he needed a new name. Funny little guy.
Jonah is also very excited that his daddy is coming home tonight after a week long business trip. As is our usual tradition, we made him a tear away chart to let him know when daddy would be home. Today is the day! Can't wait to see him, we've missed him!
Now excuse me while I get back to watching some people dance around some ginormous trees...
