My friend Dee suggested that our online mom's group and I read about this woman's birth story.
In a nutshell, she gave birth in January to her second daughter. Her whole world changed when the baby was born, but not in the way she imagined. You see, she was born with Down Syndrome, but she didn't know this prior to her birth. If you have some time, read her birth story here, it is amazing, and yes, you will cry.
So today I went back to her blog to read a bit more. She spoke of Holland. I had no clue what she was talking about until I clicked on her link.
Wow.
Now, I know that Jonah's delay's seem trivial to many people. But for us, it is a big deal. Read the poem, you'll understand why.
Especially when she writes: "And you must learn a whole new language".
Ah, the irony.

I love this post, Keri. It's amazing sometimes how the words of others can really touch us, isn't it?
