This is Ben's first Halloween and we were pretty excited to relive Jonah's first since he would be a bat again. Jonah requested a Woody costume a few months ago and after many hours of sewing and hot glueing, Woody was born, er, completed.
But, alas, Daddy was gone for work this year, so it was just me. But, we did it!
Thankfully, Daddy did get some Halloween celebrations in before he left. On Thursday Jonah's class had their Halloween party and he attended. Daddy and Jonah made Halloween cupcakes and a Halloween spiral, sang songs, and just enjoyed each other.
This morning, he and Jonah carved the pumpkin. Jonah picked the facial features.
I wasn't sure how trick or treating was going to go tonight without Daddy, but we made it work. We only did our street, but Ben was a trooper and Jonah didn't complain. At least until he realized we were at our house and he defiantly stated "This house? No!" Here is a taste of that face:
One thing that I thought was amazing was that after we came home, Jonah opened the pots and pans cabinet, and told me that Daddy puts his treats there. I was confused at first until I remembered that LAST YEAR we put his candy in that same cabinet. What a memory!
Tomorrow, we roast these guys.
We miss you Daddy!

The boys both looked great! Sorry Daddy couldn't come out trick or treating this year!

Jacob was wondering if he could wear Woody now.
I don't think he gets that we aren't going out again tonight.
