We made the journey to Fairmont a longer one. While we do not miss living in Calgary (seriously blame it on the ridiculous traffic), there are things we do miss. So we decided to extend the trip and indulge in a few favorites.

Not a favorite, but a must - Chestermere. We drove through since both the boys were still napping. It's changed a bit and our old house isn't as well maintained as when it was ours, but that just made us miss it less.

So our favorites, in no particular chronological or particular order:

Favorite #1: Crave. An absolute must. Menu items purchased included several Crave-o-licious, Nutty Over Chocolates, Lemon Lime Twist, Red Velvet, and one Apple Spice cupcake.

Favorite #2: Chiantis for lunch. Unfortunately we had to carry Ben around for the most part, but the food was just as good as we remember it. I know, there is one here in Edmonton, but our Chianti heart is in Calgary. :) Our favorite part? When I held a bun up to Ben's face and he lunged for it, missing it by only a finger's width. Seriously!

Favortite #3: Prince's Island Park. We first went when Jonah was 5 months old and have tried to go every fall. We have photos of him behind the train each time, so were sure to update them this year and include Benett in on them.

We also ensured that Benett got to ride his first swing there, just like his big brother.

Favorite #4: Peters. Can't make a trip through town without a cheeseburger and a half, some onion rings, and a milkshake that requires a Hoover to drink it. Yum.

Favorite #5: The Nickerson family. Samantha so graciously offered to let us stay at their house the weekend, and so we unloaded at their acreage. We had many good times, as did the kids. I should advise that our eldest, Jonah, will be getting hitched to Miss Avery when they are 5. This is according to the two of them. Joel and I will happily accept any gifts. ;)

Next stop? Fairmont, BC.
