That's 25% of my mat leave over and done with. Yes, of course I think of theses things, wouldn't anyone?
So let's review. The little man came early, but certainly didn't keep momentum as far as his 'milestones'. He settled into his role very quickly and has become very complacent. Smiles came a little 'late', but sleeping through the night came right when the books say. This little baby is definitely all textbook, with a little bit of angel baby thrown in.
Our days consist of the following (this is good bedtime reading as it will surely put you to sleep):
I wake at 7am, get dressed and ready for the day. I run a tight ship around here, so I only have 20 minutes to do this. That includes hitting the snooze button once!
Ben is fed after that, and then has his tushy changed followed by some 'play time' on the floor. I get myself my own breakfast of champions at this point - some cinnamon toast waffles and orange juice along with my vitamins. We then talk about our day, do some tummy time, some time in the Linkadoos chair, and maybe if we are feeling adventurous, hang out under the Leap Frog toy. Give or take.
Our day really gets started when we get Jonah up at 8ish, then Ben goes for a nap at 830am. We basically repeat this three more times, waking from naps at 10am, 1pm, 4pm, and 6pm, all with 1.5hrs of play time in between.
Bed is in bed by 730pm, depending on how much he feels like putting up a fight. Some nights we are lucky enough to have him cry to us until 830pm, aren't we lucky?
Then we wake up the next day and do it all over again. Every day is terribly the same, yet different. Reminds me of three years ago, except I have another person to keep alive and entertained.
Not sure on weight, we are thinking around 14 pounds. Ah, I just reminded myself to stop by the health unit tomorrow for an official weigh in. But alas, I will probably forget. After all, you lose a few hundred brain cells during labour, didn't ya know?
