Every morning, before heading off to dayhome, Jonah makes sure to say goodbye to me and Benett. Before he retires for the night, he is also sure to say goodnight to all of us after his nighttime routine. It goes a little something like this:

Morning
Jonah comes into our room, with a giant smile on his face. Joel lifts him onto our bed and we have a big hug, and a kiss on the cheek. He gets down and races to Ben's room. He opens the door, and looks at him through the crib rails, with big eyes and a big smile. And this is what is so sweet. He then blows him a kiss...and a hug. How does one blow a hug? Well, he wraps his arms around himself, like he is giving himself a hug, then spreads his arms out wide to 'send' it off to Benett. Add to that, he even makes this sounds when giving him a hug: "Mmmmm".

Night
We all read stories together (provided Ben isn't eating) on Jonah's bed. Then we all sing the ABC's together. After that, Jonah's room turns into a dance club. For some reason he feels it necessary that we all 'dance' before bed, yet dancing is just him running back and forth in his room and Joel making bee bop sounds. Then he gets a "knee" ride - which is just a foot ride - to bed. Then he holds his arms out for Benett to give him a hug. He then is sure to make a big ball of spit on his lips and plants one right on Ben's head. Sweet, yet gross. We get normal hugs and kisses, thank goodness!

Every day starts and ends with this little bit of love from a little boy with a big heart. You can't go wrong with that, can you?
