School was back in for this guy, going in to grade 2, and he was so excited. His best friend did not make it in to his class, which was very hard on him, but with every cloud there is a silver lining. This was the first time Jonah made friends on his own. No teachers meddling, and it was great. He now has two close friends in his class and a good handful of others he calls his friends.

To celebrate back to school we went to Montanas. I find the place vile, but the kids love it and eat free on Tuesdays, so we go once or twice a year. For them, of course.

Within the first weeks of school starting, Benett was slowly coming out of his shell, figuring out what to do when he didn't have his brother telling him what to do. He has had no issues since he discovered his new found independence! So one morning, we grabbed his bike and he rode it to go watch some fancy pro bike ride thing. It lasted less than a minute, and he was clearly not impressed after. He thought we were going to a parade and asked after it was over "Why there no candy?".

This was a typical get up for Benett this month. He certainly loves his "wubbah" boots.

Going for a bike ride.

Ah, Chewie. We felt he needed a proper bath, and just a trim around the face. THIS is what we received. A fluffball that looked "widicuhwis". We ensure he did not return to that groomer again.

And the second child has taken after the first in discovering he too, can be a puppy. I need one of these in a couple sizes up for his brother. ;)

Soon enough, Benett was off to preschool as well. We moved him to a new one this year as he just was not clicking with anyone in his old preschool. Every day I would pick him up he was angry, often in tears, and did not want to talk. Could never figure out what it was, but he is ever so happy at his new preschool and we are so thankful we were able to get him in there.

Benett continues to enjoy dressing up. The dog is not scared, thank goodness.

While he has not played with his Alphie for a little bit, he pulls it out every so often and has a blast.

I also figured that he could probably start to have some computer time playing letter games and whatnot. I often forget. This child is enamoured with what little time he does get with an ipad or computer. As it should be, I suppose.
And a feeble attempt at a family photo for one of the kid's school assignments. Meh, we tried. Could have been SO much worse. :)
