Our trip to Disneyland has been nearly 6 years in the making. As old as Jonah. Well, maybe not that old, but he is the reason we planned this trip, starting nearly two years ago.
I've mentioned my online mommy friends, whom I've chatted online with since he was only a few months old. I've met a handful of them before, but this trip was one for anyone and everyone to meet.
Of course, there were many that were unable to make it for various reasons, but I was thrilled to meet those that could.
Our family shared a house with friends that we have known the longest, stayed with before, and lived very close to for some time. So, that wasn't a big surprise meeting, obviously.
But just a few nights after our arrival in California, we headed off to meet one of the locals, Dee. I'd been very much anticipating meeting her and seeing her beautiful house. Here I am waiting patiently for her to finish getting her daughter ready for bed before answering the door. What is one to do when waiting? Oh, just take a few photos in front of their house after checking out the local landscaping. This photo does not do her house or the yard justice. Next time we come to Cali, we're bunking up with you, Dee!
After an evening of just the girls chatting over dessert, we headed home. Dee and her sweet daughter headed our way the next morning for brunch and some fun times at California Adventure. Here are all our kids at a bug's land.
And one of the moms and our kids at Paradise Pier.
While not everyone was able to meet up at the exact same time, we were also to meet up with Sonja and her family. I've met Sonja before and couldn't wait to connect with her again. Not to mention the men in her life. Her littlest, Dexter, is my new pal.
The kids having dinner. Seriously, look at how these kids all got along! Not one fight amongst them.
While the reasons a family would plan a trip to Disneyland vary, ours was perhaps unusual, but so worth it. These ladies are all very important to me and to be able to finally have our kids meet one another, was so special. They probably don't understand why, nor do they care I am sure, but these kids will always be special to me. Just like I hope this trip was to them.

We loved meeting up with you guys! Dexter was sure attached to you, Keri! The boys have already been asking when they'll get to see their new friends again.
We'll have to make a special trip to our neighbour-province!

Aww, what a sweet post, Keri. Was so much fun to get together with all of you. Can't wait for the next planned meet-up!
