We got to go on holidays. It wasn't long enough, but are they ever? Just the same, it was nice to get away from everything. The boys? Well, to say they were happy would be an understatement. Jonah relished in his daddy's presence, so pleased to have him by his side so often. Little Benett was also happy to have both his parents around, without any distractions.
Another tradition, was our stop over at some good friends just outside of Calgary. We were sure to stop at Peters, then headed over to their house to soak up some sun and good company. Thanks again, guys! The kids had a blast!
We were sure to get out as much as we could, despite our traditional not-so-great-weather when on holidays. As requested by Jonah, we were sure to do the gondola, "swim", and find some playgrounds. We also took him on his first hike, and while it wasn't a difficult one, he was proud of himself for completing it on his own.
Although not exciting for me since I've seen many before, I was excited for the kids to be able to see so much wildlife that doesn't normally wander down our street (although a porcupine did saunter down out street Friday night!).
Ready to go!
Jonah took this photo of us on the gondola on the way up the mountain.
Thumbs up for the gondola!
Banff from up high
More gondola pics
He wanted some before we even started our hike!
Enough pictures, Mama!
Jonah thought this looked like Jobi wood from Thomas, so of course a photo was in order.
All done his hike!
We still found time to relax.
At Eddies Burger Bar in Banff. So good! Jonah showing us his heart.
And of course, we made time to play.
Okay, that's enough!
