Only 3 weeks of school left for Jonah. I can hardly believe it! He is extremely excited to start kindergarten and we've made a couple of trips to the school playground already. I'm thrilled to see his confidence on the equipment, and it's equally nice to hear him say "See Mom, I'm wih-wee bwave!". Before heading home, he darts to the classroom door to peek in and see what awaits him in the fall. I'm sure he is extra curious - the windows are tinted and the lights are off inside!

We've had his last meeting with his therapists and teachers and the general consensus is that he is more than ready for school and he has made tremendous progress the last 2 years. We are awaiting word on possible funding for the school year, as well as a possible diagnosis on his speech. Yes, he already has some, but this would be a clear and all encompassing diagnosis - apraxia. It is something that I have often wondered if he had, since he was 2 years old, but was always told they can't diagnose until he is 5-6 years old. And so, we await. On a side note, I have joined the LAC at Jonah's school. Should be an interesting and busy year, but it'll be fun and the nosy person in me is happy to be on the inside of things, ha ha!
