Seeing as how it was in town and Jonah is nearly three, we thought we'd entertain the idea of taking him to the Shrine Circus.
FINALLY, the circus started. I think he really liked when the lights went off, and all the kids light sabre things could be seen in the building.

Of the circus itself, they skipped most of the really fun stuff in the program, which I think led to the most disappointment for the three of us. Jonah liked dancing to some of the music, seeing more dogs, looking on the floor and in between seats for things, moving his 'Honorary Clown' sticker from here to there and back again, and the baby in the row in front of us. Yes, even though we told him all about the circus before hand, he only wanted to see a baby.

Needless to say, we left at intermission.
Hmmm, shall I sum it up by saying he responded 'no' when we asked if he'd like to return next year? I concur son, I concur - as does your father.
The circus started 30 minutes late, as they were trying to accommodate everyone who was running late due to the weather (on a side note, would winter just go away already?!). Then, they wasted another 20 minutes or so introducing the different marching bands, little cars, and get this...the secretary and treasurer of the circus. Who cares, honestly?
The good news was that Jonah was sitting in his seat taking it all in, and loved seeing the mini fire trucks and the fire dog (dalmatian).

I think he liked this guy a little bit, but probably because it was right in front of us and he got to wear his "eyes" (sunglasses) because the spotlight kept flashing in our faces.

He does like his colouring book though...it has letters in it. :)
And for good measure - what's an outing without a picture of us with Jonah's new "cheeeeese!" face?
