Just a number, er, colour
Everyone is assigned a colour in this house. Not by their choice of course, but by Jonah. Case in point:
Blue - gaga (Daddy)
Yellow - mama
Red - dodo (Jonah)
and recently:
Green - ha ha ha (Freddy...that's a panting sound)
Orange - bebe
I don't like it
He looks too grown up. Everytime he gets a haircut, Jonah loses his curls. Last night we got a new haircut (so he could see his presents when he opens them) and of course, I was sad. He looks older and he is my baby. I want the curls back.
I know some like it shorter (like Grampa who thinks long hair is for thugs), but at least when I drop him off at dayhome, his daymom pouts with me and we mourn the loss together.

Word World
Besides being a show that grabs his attention each time he hears the theme song, we are starting to feel like we live in one.
On a regular basis, Jonah is now repeating most words when you read him a book. Scratch that. When I read him a book. He seems to be more open to testing his verbal skills with me. We are also noticing more new words in repetition like ow-f (off), num-ahs (numbers), doof (juice), mik (milk), buh buh (butter), and gee (key).
ABCDEFGHIJKLMONPQRSTUVWXYZ
He also now knows all the letters of the alphabet by their sound, and most by saying the actual letter. He can differentiate between upper and lower case and still identify the letter and sound. Oh, and letters apparently have colours too. The F in his Chicka Chicka Boom Boom book is not an F. It is an E. Why? Because it is green in his Leap Frog video. That's why...so there. ;)
Don't Move
As an early Christmas gift, Jonah got a remote control car. Don't even try driving it, he freaks out. It reminds me of last Christmas. He was so excited to see that his then daymom had bought him a push and go airplane he wanted from the toy store. Only to realize that you, well, push it and it goes! He cried and was so upset to see that happen.
The car was no different.
So instead, he pushes it around and stacks other cars on top of it.
And the remote? It's apparently a telephone.
