October was a great month, as it usually is. The crisp fall air arrives, but we always seem to get an Indian Summer for a few days to get one last chance to enjoy the activities we won't get to partake in again for another six months.

But it is also the time for much celebration. I have my birthday, we get to celebrate Thanksgiving, and of course, Halloween. Which happens to be one of our favorite holidays. Jonah was extra lucky and had 'dress up like your favorite book character day'. He chose to go as Geronimo Stilton, which was fun to make with 3 days notice...

Jonah has also been fond of video games as of late. We held off as long as possible to introduce him to them, and I think we did pretty good. His brother, well, we didn't stand a chance. He has absolutely no clue what he is doing, but seems to enjoy the 'boy' time.

And as usual, we have been baking. Every October, we make sugar cookies for decorating. And like any child, the boys love to lick the beaters after I whip the icing up.

Benett has begun to color in the lines quite well, and cookie decorating was an extra challenge he was up for. Obviously, Jonah was an ole pro at it, and got right into it.

And of course, Halloween. Benett insisted on being purple car, as he did last year, and I caved. I put in the work and just before finishing, he confirmed to me that yes, he would be purple car and not Buzz Lightyear (who he had been dressed up as for three days prior to Halloween). As you can tell from the photos, my project was somewhat of a waste of time. That kid. Always throwing me for a loop.
No worries, the kids had a blast and little cousin Bryce didn't disappoint in the cute category.
