When Jonah turned four, part of his gift was an airpline ride from Uncle Brian. Unfortunately, the weather was never quite cooperative enough for us, and so, it just kept getting postponed. Well, finally, he got his chance.
Friday night, we headed out to Vermillion and met up with our pilot for the evening. It was sunny and hot, with a light breeze, so it was a good night for flying. After Joel cleaned the bugs off the plane (hey, nothings free!), we were off. The four of us climbed in, had our safety briefing, and away we went.
We flew over the downtown area,
and got to see the crowds at FolkFest
then eastward bound to see our town and our home. The eyesore that is the boundary between us and the big city.
Gross.
Jonah got to see his neighborhood and some of the local playgrounds
and of course, Wal Mart.
This was the point where I started to feel ill. Awesome. So, I chose to look ahead for the most part from here on out. Hence the photos of people.
Our pilot.
And my beautiful first born.
On the way back, I braved myself enough to lean over and take a photo of the big mall.
Then, we headed back. My stomach was thankful at this point!
Thanks again Uncle Brian! Jonah and I are so thankful for your gift to him.
