This weekend marked the beginning of Benett's last month before turning the big one year old.

Our last month has been enjoyable.

Benett cut his first tooth (top right) and is still working on the other three (top left and bottom front).
He basically feeds himself, and is even attempting to feed himself yogurt with a spoon. Yes, it's messy.
He still refuses bottles, so we just gave up - no point at this age. Instead he demonstrated his skill at a straw yesterday when at Costco (he also had his first sample - blueberry bran muffin). Jonah always wants a bottle of water from the vending machine there, but this time he got a straw for Benett too. B went and sucked back with no problems! No choking, leaking, sputtering... I am going to let him have one of Jonah's straw cups with milk and see if that does it. The timing seems right as he is showing less and less interest in nursing, so if this is the solution, that's great! Plus it means more opportunities for me to sleep in and go out in the evening!

Not sure on Ben's weight or length though. I am sure he is growing though as he has outgrown most of his pajamas and some onesies. He feels heavier some days too, but who knows. We go to the doctor this week for the boy's annual checkups and to consult with the pediatrician about the doctor's list of "concerns" with him.

Crawling update: rolling around more and pushing up on his arms, but still no crawling. Eh, oh well.

Happy 11 months Bean!
